The best way to do an in-and-out day hike of Buckskin Gulch is to start at the Wire Pass Trailhead on House Rock Valley Road, which is halfway between Kanab and Page off Highway 89. If you turn south at the Paria confluence instead of north you can walk all the way down the Paria River to Lees Ferry.
